Mount Adonara Boleng or in a language called Boleng Ile (Ile = Mountain) is the only volcano on the Adonara island . Region Ile Boleng is a location that has the potential for the tourism industry, because it has beautifull landscape. To climb this mountain, it can be reached from several directions, namely:
From the south the Ile Boleng, namely from Kp. Lamahelan Bottom (elevation 100 m DML) toward Kp. Lamahelan Top (elevation 300 m DML) by walking about 1 hour drive. Continuing from Kp.Lamahelan Top to the top section for 6 hour drive south. This trajectory, although relatively short but sharp slope (about 45o - 60o).
From the north-northeast direction from Kp. Dua. The path is not too heavy, slope around 40o - 45o, except in areas close to the top of slope ranging 60o - 65o to the conditions very slippery slope. Travel time from Kp. Two to the summit about 5 hours.
From the east, namely from Kp. Lamabayung. The path through Kp. Lamabayung This can be achieved with a long journey of about 6 hours.
To reach Mount Boleng (Initial Location of Ascent), from Larantuka with motor boat which serve the route Larantuka - Waiwerang. After arriving in Waiwerang, tourists can determine in advance the location of the beginning of the climb to be addressed. After that stayed public transport routes based on location or take a motorcycle taxi initial ascent is willing to deliver up to destination.
