DIENG

Dieng is plateau in Central Java, belong to Kabupaten Banjarnegara dan Kabupaten Wonosobo. This area located in west of Gunung Simbara and Gunung Sumbing area.

Dieng is known as active volcanic area. We can see many crater here. The average height is about 2000m above the sea level. The temperature in dieng is cool, about 15-20 C in the morning and 10 C at night. When summer, the temperature in Dieng can reach 0 C.

Dieng covered desa Dieng Kulon, Kecamatan Batur, Kabupaten Banjarnegara, dan desa Dieng wetan, Kecamatan Kejajar, Kabupaten Wonosobo.
Dieng is the combination from sunda language “DI” means “place or mountain” and “HYANG” means “God”. So we can say that Dieng means the land of GOD.

Sibanteng
Sibanteng located in Desa Dieng Kulon. This crater has erupted in January 2009 and cause this area forbidden for a while.
Sikidang
This crater so famous in tourist cause it easy to reach.
Sileri.
Sileri is the most active crater and the last eruption happen in June 2003.
Sinila.
Sinila located in Desa Dieng Wetan, This crated has erupted in February 1979.
