Upacara Kirab Budaya dan Ngurans Kong from Imogiri,Java,Indonesia

Ritual ceremony conducted in Imogiri tomb complex is a tradition in order to replace the water contained in the 'Kong' at the tomb of Kings Imogiri. Furthermore kurasan water obtained from 'Kong' was distributed to people who have a belief that water can provide the good for life.

The ceremony is held every Tuesday in the month of Suro Kliwon was initiated by replacing the water contained in the four padasan, namely Kyai cloudy (from Roma), Nyai Siem (from Myanmar), Kyai danumoyo (derived from Aceh), and Nyai Danumurti ( from Palembang) and then continued with the Cultural Parade. In this carnival, a siwur drained equipment (scoop of coconut shell) taken from the district to the complex Imogiri Tomb of Kings. This ritual concludes with performances of traditional arts.
