To avoid the danger of the eruption of Mount Bromo, local residents held a ritual "Puja Tolak Malapetaka". This ritual is held by citizens of the Tengger Tribe at Temple Bhang Kahyangn Wonikitri Kerti Buana Jaya, Tosari, Pasuruan, East Java.
Tengger tribe from the village shaman Wonokitri, Supayadi explained, puja tetolak real havoc routines are carried out periodically four times a year. This ritual is held on the katiga, kanam, kasepuluh, and kasaa according Tengger calendar.
The core of this ritual is an attempt to restore the (rejected) various forms of havoc. Added, puja tetolak today more devoted to reject the evil that caused by the activities of Mount Bromo.
