Kupat or large-sized diamond leaf wrapped Manggar gebang and warm dishes typical of traditional indigenous ceremony Kupatan Jalasutra (Jolosutro). This tradition is preserved by generations of villagers Srimulyo, Piyungan, Bantul.
Jalasutro Kupatan ceremony was held to commemorate Geseng Sunan. According to local legend, Cokrojoyo or Sunan Gesang follow the competition to catch the golden fish scales. He filed a condition that provided a silk thread to make nets. Finally, the fish can be caught and hamlets where the nets were made hereinafter called Jalasutra.
Some time ago the villagers held a ceremony this Srimulyo. Hundreds of residents crowded the field Jalasutra. Some jodhang or stretchers containing food and agricultural produce from the surrounding hamlets were assembled in the field. Furthermore, a large diamond cutting done by the village chief and local officials.
Then jodhang paraded toward the tomb of Sunan Geseng. The convoy was celebrated with various traditional arts. Arriving in the courtyard of the tomb, the village elders recite prayers for the Sunan Geseng and pleaded to God almighty that local residents are given an abundance of safety and livelihood. Followed by a banquet, a meal together. As the closing event, the contents jodhang dirayah (contested) public who attended this ceremony.
