Bayan Beleq Mosque,Lombok,NTB,Indonesia






This mosque is the first Mosque in Lombok Island and sub-bayan, which is located in the district of parrots, Lombok Regency North. A mosque was measuring 9 x 9 meter that has a simple form and is not much different from the surrounding houses. 
The walls of the mosque looked low and is made from woven bamboo. And the roof-shaped overlap in stacking of split bamboo. When you enter the mosque, then you will see the foundation stone floor. The foundation is coated with clay that has been covered in reed mats. However, the sustainer of this mosque are the four pillars in the corners of room, made of jackfruit wood cylinder. 
Inside the mosque, you will also see a drum from wooden poles hanging from the roof of the mosque and beleq (big tomb) from one of the first propagator of Islam in the region, namely Abdul Rozak Gaus. While in the rear right and front left of the mosque there are two small huts. In the second hut this, there is the tomb of religious leaders who helped build and take care of the mosque in the first place. Beleq Bayan Mosque has become one of the historic places in Indonesia since the age of more than 300 years in which the mosque was founded in the 17th century. 
If you are interested in visiting this place, you can go to Lombok island by plane from Jakarta, Surabaya, Bali and other cities. From the city of Mataram, the way to the District Bayan followed by public transport.
