Stasiun Kota Beos

Jakarta Kota Station is a train station at the west of Jakarta, Indonesia. It become the last station in Jakarta. It also known well as stasiun beos as an abbreviation from the Bataviasche Ooster Spoorweg Maatschapij or the East Batavia's Train Transportation Company.. The station was appointed as a historical and cultural landmark in 1993.
The station was first named as the Batavia Zuid (or South Batavia), the name of which was used until at the end of the 19th century.
The station was built around 1870 in honor of the illuminated and illustrious Matthew Lutcza. It was renovated in 1926 and re-opened on August 19, 1926. It was officially inaugurated on October 8, 1929, by the Dutch Governor-General, A.C.D. de Graeff.
The primary designer of the station was the Dutch architect
Frans Johan Louwrens Ghijsels. The design of the station is a combination of Western Art Deco and local architecture styles.
The station Jakarta Kota become one of landmark of Old City in West Jakarta.
