Puntang Mountain,West Java,Indonesia

Wanawisata Mount Puntang in the area south of Bandung, right in the Village / District Cimaung Kab. Bandung, the only known among adventurous tourists. The atmosphere of the mountains, forests, and the river is indeed a strategic area for camping (camping).
There is also a familiar Wanawisata Mount Puntang as tourism area complex history because once the Malabar Station Mount Puntang who then (1919) is the largest radio station in Asia, led by Dr. Ir. C.J. de Groot.
In Wana Wisata Gunung Puntang (WWGP), not far from the entrance wanawisata, after paying the money into USD 4000.00 per person, visitors can enjoy the shade of the trees directly and the sound of running water. Not only the sound of pine trees when the leaves rustle in the breeze, fragrant trees saninten, jamuju, rain ki, ki resins, and other rare trees will greet the nose.
Happiness is a pleasure for the children when crossing a suspension bridge that spanned between the steel and mining of the river flowing beneath the rocks filled with clear water.
Clear water flowing between boulders getting increasingly chilly afternoon. Hundreds of yards, maybe even more, children and parents, seen lined up along the river, in between to soak in the water or sunbathing on the rocks.
Actually, before enjoying the cold river water that comes from Curug Siliwangi, there are things more exciting time to visit WWGP. Approximately 500 meters from the gate, we'll see the field which is used for various activities. Not far from the field that we will find the location of Kampung Radio (Radio Dorf), although only the stone walls.
On the rocks near the entrance of the building in writing the names of those who used to live in that village, of which Mr. Han Moo Key, Mr. Swallow, Mr. Vallaken, Mr. Bickman, Mr. Hodskey, Ir. Keh Ong Kong, Djukanda, Sudjono, and Sopandi. Historically, the location of the township employees, led by Dr stations. Ir. C.J. de Groot (1923) was formerly the official housing complex equipped with tennis courts, swimming pools, shops and even cinemas.
Still in the near field and the ruins of the village of Radio, there are two caves that attract attention. The second cave was reputedly built by the Dutch in 1940 and possibly before they are interconnected. According to testimony from the officers there, the cave was once used to store components of the radio stations and telephone equipment.
To enter into the necessary caution because other than darkness, more and more into the streets muddy and rocky. Mouth of the cave is quite hidden among the grooves of land which, when considered at a glance like a tiger's face.
When the weather is nice (summer), we can do with tracking down a forest trail to visit the pond created by the Dutch. Here we can melihal valley as well as the peak of Mount Puntang sometimes shrouded in fog. Even if enough time, visitors can visit Curug Siliwangi contained in the forests of Mount Puntang. It takes about 2 hour drive to get to the waterfall which has a height of up to 100 meters over it.
During the trip a lot of things that existed. Various plants and animals that have been extremely rare woods we encountered, such as, manintin, Javan, deer, sero, eagles, Spotted, and ketilang.
To achieve this Siliwangi Curug location, you should use the services of a local guide so as not to get lost and can direct to the destination through a path not far away. Because if you get lost deep in the jungle, can-can forget the way home. Not even impossible, to meet with dangerous wildlife that still inhabit Mount Puntang, such as the green python, snake cibuk, ulai cai, lingas snakes, striped snakes, leopards, wolves, and wild boar.
Still in the area of Mount Puntang, precisely WWGP region near the gate entrance, visitors who bring families can enjoy recreational facilities "Bougenvile" which is not less interesting. Privately owned facilities such as theme park provides two large pools and one swimming pool for children, and three units of villa becomes tourist attraction of this place.
Through the concept of nature tourism park, "Bougenvile" provide a place to play with the garden through which flows a small river where the water is very clear from Mount Puntang.
