Ujungan Tradition from Java,Indonesia

Ujungan is a tradition of asking the rain that developed in Banyumas, Central Java. This annual tradition is a martial arts contest o'clock conducted by a pair of adult males by using equipment such as rattan as a tool blade of the bat. Ritual led by a Wlandang (umpire), usually held during the long dry season. In this season, farmers desperately needed water to irrigate rice fields and also to provide drinking pet animals such as beef cattle, buffalo, goat, and so forth.
