Museum House Culture Tembi or Tembi House of Culture, located on the road Parangtritis Km. 8.4 Tembi, Timbulhardjo, Sewon, Bantul, Yogyakarta, is a museum specializing in Javanese culture, especially Javanese culture in the village Tembi. The museum is open every day Monday-Friday, 09:00 to 16:00 o'clock pm. The main building area of the museum is an area of 212m2, the whole building area is 1057m2, and occupies a land area of 3500m2. 

Museum collections contained in this form of traditional tools of Java communities, such as kitchen appliances (furnace, boiler), weaponry java community (kris, spears), to farm equipment (plow), the art equipment (gamelan, batik). Inside the museum there are also bicycle and motorcycle collection of ancient, old posters, old photographs, even the library has a collection of manuscripts to reach approximately 5000 pieces. 

Facilities available at the Museum House Culture Tembi, in addition to various kinds of collections and libraries, there is also an exhibition space, meeting rooms, lodging, restaurant, swimming pool, and a pavilion complete with a set of gamelan. The museum also provides a guide that will be ready to guide and also answer any questions about House Culture Tembi. 

Activities that are routinely done every month is the national dance performances from Sabang to Merauke. Puppet show are also routinely performed in the marquee House Budaaya Tembi with local puppeteer who is domiciled in Bantul. Traditional activities is also one of the museum visit package. Traditional activities include plowing with oxen, batik, gamelan playing. 

This museum was inaugurated in November 1999 under the auspices of the Foundation House Culture Tembi. The museum was established in conjunction with the launch of Encyclopedia book Javanese Culture. Culture home Tembi opened with the goal remains to preserve Javanese culture, both in cultivation methods, art, equipment life, even the traditional children games. 

To visit this museum, do not need to spend any money. Financing the museum is taken from the personal funds of museums and collectors owners who entrust their collections at the museum. Other sources of funds obtained from the restaurant, rental homestay, meeting rooms, gallery. Pavilion is also rented for special occasions such as birthdays and weddings, which can be one of the other funding sources.
