Sebelat Elephant Training Center is in production forests with special functions for the concentration of elephant training. This is based on the decision of the Minister of Forestry No. 685 of 1995. The extent of 6865 hectares. Location of the training center of this giant animal in Putri Hijau subdistrict of North Bengkulu. These forest areas are at an altitude of 56 to 113 meters above sea level. In the forest Elephant Training Center area contains a relatively rich potential as a kind of superior wood Meranti, Sungkai, the kinds of rare plants such as Raflessia flower (Rafflesia spp) and carcass flower (Amorphophallus spp), and various medicinal plants. Forest area Sebelat Elephant Training Center is still inhabited by wild animals that have rare and endangered such as the Sumatran tiger, Sumatran Elephant, Bear, Deer, Tapir, and the kinds of birds like the Hornbill, Rhinoceros Hornbill, Bornean Peacock, Eagle, and King Prawns. In addition to wildlife habitat, forest Elephant Training Center is also an important indicator of hydrological function in the presence of several rivers in it. Among the river is Sebelat River. Because the impact of regional autonomy, Bengkulu was also experiencing some expansion of the district. So the forest Sebelat Elephant Training Center is now located in two districts of North Bengkulu District, an area of 6365 hectares, and Muko-Muko district, about 500 hectares.
