Fatahillah Museum



Fatahillah Museum, also known as the Jakarta History Museum or the Museum of Batavia is a museum located at Jalan Taman Fatahillah No. 2, West Jakarta with a more than 1300 square meters. This is the first building Stadhuis or City Hall, built in 1707-1710 on the Governor General Johan Van Hoorn. The building consists of the main building with two wings in the east and west and near a building used as offices, court rooms, and rooms underground that is used as a prison. On 30 March 1974, this building then inaugurated as Fatahillah Museum. This museum has a wide more than 13,000 square meters. Konblok yards with the order, and a pool decorated some old trees. Objects that can be found in this museum, among others, the history of Jakarta, a replica of the monument and Tarumanegara Pajajaran, there are also ceramics, and the stone inscription. These collections are located in different rooms, such as prehistoric Jakarta Room, Room Tarumanegara, Jayakarta Room, Room Fatahillah, Sultan Agung space, and space MH Thamrin.
