Tugu Tani



Tugu Tani located in Menteng triangle made famous Russian sculptor named Matvel Manizer and Otto Manizer. The statue was presented by the Soviet government at that time to the government of the Republic of Indonesia as a manifestation of the friendship the two nations. This statue is made of bronze, made in the Soviet Union and then brought to Jakarta by ship. Inaugurated by President Soekarno in 1963 by attaching a plaque on voetstuk reads "The hero is the value of a great nation".
