Barong dance from Bali,Indonesia

Barong dance is one of the dance performance which is pre peningalan Hindu culture but is Sangyang dance Barong dance. Barong word comes from the word meaning animal bahruang bears, an animal is a mythology that has magic powers, is considered as an animal protector.
Barong Dance (sendra dance and drama) is about the struggle between virtue against atrocities

Gending Opening:

This refusal led to fights and Kalika transfigured into wild boar and birds in the battle but was defeated. And finally Kalika (Bird) again transfigured into Rangda. Because magic is the Sadewa Rangda can not kill him and eventually turned into a Barong Sahadev same magic as the battle between Barong against this Rangda nobody wins and so this fight continue forever. Virtue against falsehood. Then came the followers of their followers Barong masaing with keris Barong want to help in the fight against Rangda. They are all one does not work disable the Rangda magic.
