Ijo Temple is a Hindu temple located not far from the Temple of Queen Boko or us about 18 km east of Yogyakarta city. This temple was built in the 9th century at the time of Old Mataram Kingdom, and is situated at an altitude of 410 meters above sea level. Since being on the hill called Gumuk Ijo, the landscape around the temple is very beautiful, especially if you look to the west will look rice field area and the airport. This temple is a complex of 17 buildings that are the fruit on the porch berundak eleven. At the entrance there are carved makara time, a giant's mouth (when) the body dragon (makara), as seen at the entrance to Borobudur Temple. In this temple complex there are three temples perwara showing respect for the Hindu community to the Trimurti: Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. Based on research that has been conducted on the Site Ijo Temple, the site is known that there are 17 structures located on the terrace 11. Pages temple which is the entrance to the main building is a terrace from west to east. Page at the top (terrace to eleven) is a page that is considered the most holy (sacred). On these pages found fence, phallus eight stakes, and four buildings of the main temple and three perwara temple located in the front row of the main temple. The main temple has a door to the west. On the outer wall of the temple there are niches to put the statue Agastya, Ganesha and Durga. Statues are currently stored in the Office of Archeological Heritage Preservation Hall Yogyakarta. Inside the temple there-yoni phallus symbolizing the god Shiva is united with the goddess Parvati.
