State Museum of Lampung Province "Ruwa Jurai" start initiated in 1975/1976 financial year since that time continued to be the physical development of land area 17 .010 m2 located at Jalan Hi 2 A Pagar Alam No.. Meneng Building 64, Bandar Lampung. Along with the International Day script is centered in Bandar Lampung on September 24, 1988. State Museum of Lampung Province was inaugurated by Prof.. Dr. Fuad Hasan. Entering the era of regional autonomy based on the Decree of the Governor of Lampung Province No. 03 of 2001, the status of the Museum of Lampung turned into the Office of Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) under the Department of Education. UPTD Museum Negeri Provinsi Lampung "Ruwa Jurai" is a general museum, to the classification of Lampung Museum collection consists of 10 types of collections: Biologika, Geologika, Keramologika, Filologika, Historika, Numismatika and Heraldika, Etnografika, Fine Art and Teknologika until mid-2008 4588 numbered pieces. One type of collection associated with collection Culture etnografika Lampung, this type of classification collection includes all objects that way and use it to show a certain ethnic characteristics. Museum of Lampung save historic objects from the ancestors of Lampung.
