Island Miangas is Indonesia's outer islands are located near the border between Indonesia and the Philippines. The island is included in the Miangas village, subdistrict Nanusa, Talaud Islands, North Sulawesi province, Indonesia. This island is one of Indonesia's outer islands so vulnerable border issues, terrorism and smuggling. The island has an area of about 3.15 km ². Distance Miangas Island with Sub Nanusa is about 145 miles, while the distance to the Philippines is only 48 miles.
