Lengkuas Island

Lengkuas is a small island, situated in a village north of Tanjung Binga. Size total less than one hectare. Around the island there are many islands of granite boulders that can be achieved just by walking across the shallow sea with a depth of less than 1.2m. Structure granitnya stones are also unique and different from other places with a combination of white sandy beaches and trees. Sea water really clear, you can clearly see the bottom of the sea including fish that swim in it. This is a fun place to play in the sea or snorkeling.
The crown of the island is actually a galangal old lighthouse, built by the Dutch since 1882. The view from the top of the lighthouse is so beautiful galangal to just tell. Really beautiful, 360 degrees around the island and surrounding areas.
Lengkuas reached by renting a boat from Tanjung Binga. The rental price of about USD 350 thousand for a single trip is usually spent half the day. Long journey from the coast in the Pacific Islands to galangal only about 30-45 minutes. Boat rental can carry 30-40 people and this is a fishing boat which is usually used to catch fish at night. This boat is unique, where there is the framework on both sides of the boat that makes this boat to be stable even if sailing in big waves.
The most appropriate time to visit is the month galangal from March to November. During this period sea waves tends quieter, so you can enjoy the trip by boat, snorkeling and swimming in the clear waters as seen from the photos. During the period from December to January, the waves may be greater than usual, and sometimes rain throughout the day.
Among the island galangal and fishing port on the headland there Binga another island called Bird Island. On the way to galangal you will pass the island. The island is slightly larger than the galangal, with white sand on the southern side and granite rocks on the North side. Visitors usually stop briefly at Bird Island on the way home from the galangal into Tanjung Binga. The most interesting object of Bird Island is a granite rock shaped like a bird found on the coast of the island, because it is also possible island called Bird Island.
