Ceremony "is a ceremonial Maceretassi traditional fishing communities in the District Kotabaru, especially fishing village and nest Gedambaan Javan, has been going on since long and continue to be done by generations each year one".

The main procession is Maceretassi slaughter of buffalo, goats, and chickens on the beach and then the blood flows into the sea with the intention to give blood for marine life. With the implementation of this traditional ceremony, the people who live around the beach and surrounding areas, hoping to find sustenance in abundance of marine life, as well as a form of praise and gratitude to the Creator Allah SWT.

Before starting Maceretassi first bargaining TAPUNG ceremony for the blessing of Allah SWT is led by a traditional leader named Daeng Tolah. Then held with Bagang miniature release includes several offerings released by the gang bagang fishermen. Overall this traditional ceremony and symbolizes friendliness, familiarity between didua fishing village.

To enliven this traditional ceremony, also presented in the form of arts entertainment, traditional music, dangdut music and martial art attractions, and various sporting events.
